About Shahul

With 24 years in clinical practice, 19 of them within the Irish health system, Shahul brings a depth of experience few physiotherapists in North Dublin can match. He trained originally in India before building his career in Ireland, and has gone on to complete two postgraduate qualifications that shape how he treats patients today.

He is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and is registered with CORU.

Workplace and Ergonomic Injury

Shahul holds a postgraduate certificate in Applied Ergonomics from the University of Nottingham (2014). That background means he doesn't just treat the pain in front of him - he looks at how a patient sits, stands, lifts and moves through their working day, and builds recommendations around fixing the cause, not just easing the symptom. This is especially relevant for desk-based workers and anyone whose pain flares up with repetitive movement or poor posture at work.

Orthopaedic and Rheumatology Care

Shahul completed a postgraduate diploma in Orthopaedic and Rheumatology Medicine, accredited by the National University of Ireland, Galway (2017). This underpins his approach to joint and muscle pain, arthritis and post-surgical rehabilitation - conditions that often need a more clinically detailed assessment than general aches and strains.

Older Adult Physiotherapy

Shahul is particularly passionate about working with adults and the geriatric population with additional needs. He takes a patient, individualised approach with older patients - focusing on maintaining independence, mobility and confidence, not just treating a single complaint in isolation.
