Looking for a Physiotherapist in Swords?

If you live or work in Swords and you are looking for a physiotherapist, this guide covers what you need to know before you book: where we are, how to get in, when we are open and what happens at your first visit.

Our Swords clinic is at Clinic Rooms 3 & 4, 2nd Floor, Broadmeadow Hall, Applewood Close, Swords, Co. Dublin, K67 Y5F2, close to Airside Retail Park and Swords Business Campus.

How to Find Us

Broadmeadow Hall is a shared office building, so here is exactly what to do when you arrive:

  • Look for the Broadmeadow Hall sign at the entrance, with 365 Physiotherapy listed on it
  • At the main entrance, ring the buzzer marked 365 Physiotherapy and we will let you in
  • Take the lift or the stairs to the 2nd floor
  • Clinic Rooms 3 & 4 are straight ahead

  • Parking: free parking is available at the clinic, including underground parking.

The entrance is step-free, and the lift takes you to the 2nd floor. If you prefer not to use the lift, there are stairs as well. Wheelchair users can reach the clinic rooms and the toilet. If you have specific mobility or accessibility needs, please contact us before your appointment so that we can discuss them.

    Opening Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Sunday: home visits only (by arrangement, with notice)

  • Evening and weekend appointments are available, which suits people who work during the day. Same-day appointments are often available, but we cannot guarantee them, so call or check online for today's availability.

    What We Treat

We see adults and children with muscle, joint and sports problems, including:

  • Back pain, neck pain and sciatica
  • Shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand pain
  • Hip, knee, ankle and foot pain
  • Sports injuries, including running, GAA, rugby, tennis and golf
  • Recovery after surgery, with rehabilitation to rebuild movement and strength
  • Dry needling, where it is suitable for you

  • Our team includes senior chartered physiotherapists with over 20 years of experience, supported by CORU-registered colleagues. If you are not sure we can help with your problem, call us and we will tell you honestly.

What Happens at Your First Appointment

Appointments are 30 to 40 minutes, depending on which physiotherapist you see. Here is what to expect:

  • A conversation. We ask about your problem, when it started, what makes it better or worse, your health and your goals
  • An assessment. We look at how you move, check strength, flexibility and the area that hurts, and explain what we find in plain language
  • A plan. We agree the next steps with you: treatment, exercises, advice about activity, and how many visits you are likely to need
  • Treatment and exercises. Where suitable, we start treatment in the same visit, and give you exercises to do at home

  • If we think you need an MRI scan, we can refer you, and Laya accepts referrals from CORU-registered physiotherapists. Cover depends on your own policy, so please check it with your insurer.

    What to bring

  • Comfortable clothing you can move in, such as shorts or loose trousers
  • Any scan reports or letters you already have, if you wish (they are helpful but not required)
  • A list of any medication, and anything else you think we should know

  • Do I Need a GP Referral?

No. You can book directly with us, online or by phone. If you have a GP letter or scan report, bring a copy and we will add it to your file.

You will receive a receipt at every appointment, which you can use to claim from your health insurer. Cover differs between plans, so check your own policy.

    Home Visits from Swords

If travelling to the clinic is difficult, we also offer home visits in Swords and across North Dublin, including to nursing homes and day-care settings. Please give at least 48 hours' notice where possible. For urgent muscle or joint problems, such as acute back pain, call us. We may be able to arrange an earlier visit, subject to availability. A female physiotherapist is available for home visits for patients who prefer one.

When to Get Urgent Medical Help

Physiotherapy is not the right first step for every problem. Some symptoms need urgent medical assessment.

Call 112 or 999 if you have chest pain, sudden severe breathlessness, collapse, or any other symptom that suggests a medical emergency.

Go to the nearest emergency department if you have:

  • New loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness around the genital or buttock area, with back pain
  • A serious injury, severe pain or deformity after a fall or accident, or you cannot put any weight on the leg
  • A hot, red, swollen joint with fever
  • Severe or worsening calf pain and swelling, especially with breathlessness or chest pain

  • If you are not sure how urgent your symptoms are, contact your GP or an out-of-hours GP service for advice. Do not delay emergency care to contact a physiotherapy clinic.
